TBI history in relation to dementia variants Lead Investigator: Jagan Pillai Institution : Cleveland Clinic E-Mail : pillaij@ccf.org Proposal ID : 1476 Proposal Description: Aim: To compare the clinical and neuropsychological characteristics among participants exposed to TBI among neuropathology confirmed dementia types Among subjects with autopsy confirmed diagnosis of primary Alzheimer???s disease, dementia with lewy bodies, Frontotemporal dementia and vascular dementia, we will determine the differences in the proportion of initial clinical symptoms and the neuropsychological profile of subjects with and without a TBI history. Chi squared tests will be used to compare the categorical variables with respect to TBI history and initial clinical symptoms. After checking for normality of data for continuous variables, ANOVA and Mann-Whitney's test will be used to establish significant group differences as appropriate with respect to TBI history.
